BcnByBike is a machine learning-based app designed to improve urban cycling in Barcelona. It provides cyclists with personalized, real-time alternative routes by analyzing traffic conditions, incidents, user preferences, and historical data.

The frontend is built with React Native, offering responsive design and consistency across various devices, while the backend is powered by Ruby on Rails, effectively managing data processing and API integrations.

We focused on integrating AI into the app by selecting and incorporating key data sources for route optimization. Real-time traffic data is accessed through the Google Maps API, complemented by historical user route data and environmental factors like weather and air quality.
